Assembler position is responsible for the intricate assembly of various lighting fixtures. Assembler
position is tasked with the ability to read, understand, & follow basic blueprints and wiring assemblies.
Works with the other Lighting department employees and team lead to help complete required daily
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs basic, unique, and repetitive assembly operations of components in the lighting box
Preps and assemblies inserted components.
Ensures assemblies and components are properly handled and marked.
Visually inspects parts for proper insertion and placement.
Accurate tracking of time and material used
Read and understand production schedule, work orders, tech drawings, wiring assemblies, client
renderings and written instructions.
Organizes work in the most efficient way possible to meet the deadlines of all internal and external
Meet deadlines and complete assignments in a timely and productive manner while maintaining high
standards for quality.
Uses good communication to make recommendations to the department lead on how to improve
processes in the lighting department.
Assist the department lead in fielding production questions from other departments.
Listen, ask questions and understand verbal and written instructions from Department Lead &
Comply with all personnel, departmental and safety policies.
Knowledge of production/ department standards, locations, and use of all forms, tools, and supplies.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong organizational skills and conduct themselves in a professional manner
Able to speak, read, and write effectively in English
Basic math and geometry skills are required
Ability to read measurements down to 1/16th of an inch
Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds throughout the day
Ability to work at a fast pace, under pressure, and multi-task during periods of high stress
Available for, and willing to work overtime on short notice
High school graduate or the equivalent
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
